Jesus Resurrection and Walking the Bible

Yesterday morning I could not resist attending our annual Sunrise Service on Garrett Mt. It was a beautiful morning  and as you can see even the deer came out. It was wonderful to be with the many different churches and get to give some Madison Ave. folks a hug as well. It was good to celebrate Jesus resurrection on with everyone on top of the Mountain.
Later in the morning Debra and I drove into lower Manhattan to worship with City Grace Church. This is one of the earlier New York church plants but I had never been able to actually worship with them. There was great worship of a wide variety and Pastor Ben Spalink had a wonderful message addressing the "so what" of the Resurrection. After worship they had a luncheon brunch for all. On Saturday I was listening to a wonderful song entitled "Who am I" by Casting Crowns. I offer this to you as a wonderful way to remember the "so what" of Jesus death and resurrection. You can listen to it and watch one video version by pressing HERE.

Today we are flying out to Amman Jordan for a 2 week Biblical Study Tour with Under the Fig Tree Ministries.  Rev. George DeJong is the found of this ministry and leader of the group. He teaches in a Rabbinic style on site as we walk.  There is a great short video if you click on the above site that will give you some idea of what is in store for us. I'm going with expectation for what the Lord has for me from Ezekiel 40:4, “See with your eyes, hear with your ears, and set your hearts on everything I am going to show you, for that is why you have been brought here. Then tell the house of Israel everything you see.”
I see there may be a blog of the trip accessible from the website if you are interested.
Rev. Miller, my good friend and long time prayer partner is going as well. We have been preparing ourselves with regular walking/hiking around Paterson, Eastside Park, Garret Mt, Jefferson St. hill. We have been also learning the Sh'ma in Hebrew.
